body FIFA has turned to Justice Mukul Mudgal, who has been appointed as
deputy chairman of its governance committee.
3. India successfully test-fires supersonic interceptor missile
India successfully test-fired its ingenuously developed supersonic interceptor missile, capable of destroying any incoming hostile ballistic missile, from a test range off Odisha coast.
The interceptor is a 7.5-meter long single stage solid rocket propelled guided missile equipped with a navigation system, a hi-tech computer and an electro-mechanical activator, the DRDO .
The interceptor missile had its own mobile launcher, secure data link for interception, independent tracking and homing capabilities and sophisticated radars.
4. Sania-Hingis clinch maiden clay-court title at Rome Masters
Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis produced a spirited fight back as they survived a late onslaught to win their first ever clay-court title at Italian Open.
With the win, Hingis and Mirza also captured their 14th women's doubles title together and fifth of the year.
