1. 101-year-old freedom fighter K Madhavan passes away
Senior communist leader and Freedom fighter K Madhavan passed away. He was 101.
2. Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Lays Foundation Stone of Gokul Gram Project
Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh laid the foundation stone of the first Gokul Gram in Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay's birth place, Mathura as part of the Rashtriya Gokul Mission under which 14 such Grams (villages) would be established across the country.
3. India Signs Agreement for Exploring Minerals in Indian Ocean
India signed a fifteen year MoU with the International Seabed Authority (ISA), a move that will give New Delhi the exclusive rights to exploration of Polymetallic Sulphides (PMS) in Indian Ocean.
