1. आठ उपग्रहों को लेकर रवाना हो गया पीएसएलवी सी-35 

महासागर और मौसम के अध्ययन के लिए तैयार किये गये स्कैटसैट-1 (एससीएटीएएटी-1) और सात अन्य उपग्रहों को लेकर पीएसएलवी सी-35 ने सतीश धवन अंतरिक्ष केंद्र से उड़ान भरी। स्कैटसैट-1 से इतर सात उपग्रहों में अमेरिका और कनाडा के उपग्रह भी शामिल हैं। 

स्कैटसैट-1 के अलावा, इसरो का 44.4 मीटर लंबा पीएसएलवी रॉकेट दो भारतीय विश्वविद्यालयों के उपग्रह भी साथ लेकर गया है। इसके अलावा तीन उपग्रह अल्जीरिया के हैं और एक-एक उपग्रह अमेरिका और कनाडा का है। 

पीएसएलवी सी-35 ने चेन्नई से लगभग 110 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित सतीश धवन अंतरिक्ष केंद्र से सुबह नौ बजकर 12 मिनट पर उड़ान भरी। 

यह पहली बार है, जब पीएसएलवी दो अलग-अलग कक्षाओं में पेलोड प्रक्षेपित करेगा। इस काम के लिए चार चरणों वाले ईंजन को दो बार पुन: शुरू किया जाएगा। 

पीएसएलवी सी-35 चेन्नई से करीब 110 किमी दूर स्थित स्थित सतीश धवन स्पेस सेंटर से सुबह नौ बजकर 12 मिनट पर अपने सफर के लिए रवाना हुआ। 

स्कैटसैट-1 एक प्रारंभिक उपग्रह है और इसे मौसम की भविष्यवाणी करने और चक्रवातों का पता लगाने के लिए है। 

इसरो ने कहा कि यह स्कैटसैट-1 द्वारा ले जाए गए कू-बैंड स्कैट्रोमीटर पेलोड के लिए एक ‘सतत’ अभियान है। 

2. ओलंपियन सजन प्रकाश ने 200 मीटर बटरफ्लाई में स्वर्ण जीता 

ओलंपियन सजन प्रकाश ने 70वीं सीनियर नेशनल एक्वेटिक चैम्पियनशिप में पुरूषों की 200 मीटर बटरफ्लाई स्पर्धा में राष्ट्रीय रिकार्ड बनाते हुए स्वर्ण पदक अपनी झोली में डाला। 

3. आईओए अध्यक्ष रामचंद्रन को ओसीए मेरिट पुरस्कार 

भारतीय ओलंपिक संघ के अध्यक्ष एन रामचंद्रन को एशिया में खेलों में उनके असाधारण योगदान के लिए एशिया ओलंपिक परिषद ने प्रतिष्ठित ओसीए मेरिट पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया। 

ओसीए अध्यक्ष शेख अहमद अल फहद अल अहमद अल सबाह ने ओसीए की वाषिर्क आम बैठक में उन्हें यह पुरस्कार दिया। इस मौके पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय ओलंपिक समिति के अध्यक्ष थामस बाक भी मौजूद थे। 

गौरतलब है कि रामचंद्रन को रियो ओलंपिक के दौरान एक महीना पहले ही बाक ने भी ओलंपिक अभियान में उनके योगदान के लिए आईओसी के ओलंपिक आर्डर से सम्मानित किया था। 

रामचंद्रन ये दोनों प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार हासिल करने वाले पहले आईओए अध्यक्ष हैं। 

4. चीन में विश्व के सबसे बड़े रेडियो दूरदर्शी को अभियान में लगाया गया 

चीन ने विश्व के सबसे बड़े रेडिया दूरदर्शी को खोजी अभियान में लगाया। 4450 पैनल रिफलेक्टर वाला यह दूरदर्शी फुटबॉल के 30 पिच जितना बड़ा है, जिससे ब्रह्मांड की उत्पत्ति और अलौकिक जीवन को समझने के लिए विश्व भर में जारी अभियानों में मदद मिलेगी। 

गुइझाउ प्रांत के पिंगतांग काउंटी की कार्स्ट घाटी में फाइव हंड्रेड मीटर एपर्चर स्फेरिकल टेलीस्कोप :फास्ट: मिशन की आधिकारिक शुरआत के मौके पर सैकड़ों खगोलविद और खगोल विज्ञान के प्रति रूचि रखने वाले लोग एकत्रित हुए। 

चीनी खगोलविदों के प्रस्ताव के 17 वर्ष बाद वर्ष 2011 में 1.2 अरब युआन :18 करोड़ अमेरिकी डालर: की इस परियोजना पर काम शुरू हुआ। 

दूरदर्शी की मुख्य संरचना का निर्माण दक्षिण पश्चिमी चीन की एक अनूठी घाटी में हुआ है, जहां से 8,000 लोगों को दूसरी जगह पर ले जाया गया क्योंकि इसके लिए शांत वातावरण की जरूरत थी। 

5. आर अश्विन सबसे तेज़ 200 टेस्ट विकेट लेने वाले पहले भारतीय गेंदबाज़ बने 

भारत के ऑफ-स्पिनर गेंदबाज़ रविचंद्रन अश्विन ने एक और उपलब्धि हासिल की जिसमें वे अपने 37वें टेस्ट मैच में 200 विकेट लेने वाले भारत के पहले तथा विश्व के दूसरे सबसे तेज़ गेंदबाज़ बने. 

कानपुर स्थित ग्रीन पार्क में भारत और न्यूज़ीलैंड के बीच खेले जा रहे टेस्ट मैच में अश्विन ने न्यूज़ीलैंड के केन विलियमसन का विकेट लेकर अपने 200 विकेट पूरे किये. 

अश्विन ने टेस्ट करियर के 37वें मैच में यह उपलब्धि हासिल की. अश्विन ने पाकिस्तान के वक़ार यूनुस और ऑस्ट्रेलया के डेनिस लिली को पीछे छोड़ा. उन्होंने 200 विकेट हासिल करने के लिए 38 टेस्ट खेले थे. दक्षिण अफ्रीका के गेंदबाज़ डेल स्टेन ने 39 टेस्ट मैचों में यह उपलब्धि हासिल की. 

अश्विन से पहले, नंबर 1 स्थान पर ऑस्ट्रेलिया के क्लेरी ग्रिमेट मौजूद हैं जिन्होंने 36 टेस्ट मैचों में यह उपलब्धि हासिल की. 

इसके अतिरिक्त अश्विन 200 विकेट लेने वाले नौंवें भारतीय गेंदबाज़ बने. भारत के लिए सबसे अधिक विकेट हासिल करने की सूची में अनिल कुंबले पहले स्थान पर हैं, उन्होंने अपने करियर के दौरान कुल 619 विकेट लिए. 

6. ईरान ने स्वदेशी बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल ‘जोल्फकार’ लांच की 

ईरान के रक्षा मंत्रालय ने स्वदेशी बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल 'जोल्फकार' को लॉन्च किया। 

इस सामरिक मिसाइल का मार्च 2017 से उपयोग शुरू हो जाएगा। यह इलेक्ट्रानिक युद्ध के दौरान होने वाली रुकावट को दूर करने में सक्षम है। यह मिसाइल ठोस ईंधन से संचालित होती है और 750 किलोमीटर की रेंज तक सटीकता के साथ लक्ष्यों को भेदने में सक्षम है। 

7. भारत की ऐतिहासिक 500वें टेस्ट मैच में बड़ी जीत 

रविचंद्रन अश्विन ने फिर से अपनी फिरकी का कमाल दिखाया और छह विकेट लिये जिससे भारत ने पहले टेस्ट क्रिकेट मैच में आज यहां न्यूजीलैंड पर 197 रन से जीत दर्ज करके अपने ऐतिहासिक 500वें टेस्ट मैच को यादगार बना दिया। 

न्यूजीलैंड की टीम 434 रन के मुश्किल लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए मैच के पांचवें और अंतिम दिन आज लंच के कुछ देर बाद 236 रन पर ढेर हो गयी। भारत ने इस तरह से तीन मैचों की श्रृंखला में 1-0 से बढ़त बनाकर आईसीसी रैंकिंग में फिर से नंबर एक बनने की तरफ भी मजबूत कदम बढ़ाये। 

अश्विन ने परिस्थितियों का पूरा फायदा उठाते हुए 132 रन देकर छह विकेट लिये और इस तरह से मैच में दस विकेट लेने में कामयाब रहे। मोहम्मद शमी : 18 रन देकर दो विकेट : ने आज दो सफलताएं हासिल करके अश्विन का अच्छा साथ दिया। रविंद्र जडेजा ने एक विकेट हासिल किया। जडेजा को उनके आलराउंड प्रदर्शन के लिये मैन आफ द मैच चुना गया। भारत ने इस जीत से एक तरह से हैट्रिक भी पूरी की। उसने इससे पहले अपने 300वें टेस्ट मैच में 1996 में अहमदाबाद में दक्षिण अफ्रीका को 64 रन से और 400वें टेस्ट मैच में 2006 में किंग्सटन में वेस्टइंडीज को 49 रन से हराया था। भारत की यह टेस्ट मैचों में कुल 130वीं जीत है। भारत ने दिसंबर 2012 से घरेलू सरजमीं पर 12 मैचों में अपना अजेय अभियान भी जारी रखा। उसने इनमें से दस मैच जीते हैं। न्यूजीलैंड ने सुबह चार विकेट पर 93 रन से आगे खेलना शुरू किया। उसके कल के अविजित बल्लेबाजों ल्यूक रोंची : 80 : और मिशेल सैंटनर : 71 : ने पांचवें दिन सुबह पहले घंटे में भारत को कोई सफलता नहीं मिलने दी लेकिन इन दोनों के बीच पांचवें विकेट के लिये 102 रन की साझेदारी टूटने के बाद भारत ने जीत हासिल करने में देर नहीं लगायी। न्यूजीलैंड ने अपने आखिरी पांच विकेट 42 रन के अंदर गंवाये।

8. टेनिस : वावरिंका को हरा जेवरेव ने जीता करियर का पहला खिताब

जर्मनी के स्टार खिलाड़ी एलेक्जेंडर जेवरेव ने सेंट पीटर्सबर्ग एटीपी के फाइनल मुकाबले में स्विट्जरलैंड के स्टान वावरिंका को हराकर अपने करियर का पहला खिताब जीता है। समाचार एजेंसी सिन्हुआ के अनुसार, टूर्नामेंट के 27वीं वरीय खिलाड़ी ने फाइनल में पूरे आत्मविश्वास के साथ प्रवेश कर रविवार को खेले गए खिताबी मुकाबले में वावरिंका को 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 से मात दी।

जेवरेव ने चेक गणराज्य के थोमस बर्डिक को मात देकर फाइनल में प्रवेश किया।

पहले सेट में 6-2 से बढ़त हासिल कर जेवरेव को दूसरे सेट में वावरिंका ने 3-6 से मात दी। अपने खेल में वापसी करते हुए जर्मनी के खिलाड़ी ने तीसरे सेट में 7-5 से आगे बढ़ते हुए जीत हासिल की।

इस हार के साथ ही वावरिंका का अपना 12वां एटीपी फाइनल खिताब जीतने का सपना भी टूट गया।

1. PSLV C-35 with 8 satellites lifts off

PSLV C-35, carrying India's SCATSAT-1 meant for ocean and weather studies and seven other satellites including from the US and Canada, today lifted off from the spaceport.

Besides SCATSAT-1, the 44.4 metre tall ISRO's workhorse PSLV rocket is carrying two Indian university satellites, three from Algeria and one each from the US and Canada.

For the first time in its mission, the PSLV will launch its payloads in two different orbits. There will be two Fourth Stage Engine restarts for this purpose 

PSLV C-35 took off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre here, about 110 km from Chennai at 9.12 AM. 

SCATSAT-1, the primary satellite, is meant for weather forecasting, cyclone detection and tracking. 

It is a "continuity" mission for the Ku-band scatter meter payload carried by SCATSAT-1, which has enhanced features compared to a similar one carried by Oceansat-2 satellite in 2009, ISRO said. 

The two academic satellites are PRATHAM, from IIT, Bombay, and PISAT, from BES University, Bengaluru and its consortium. 

While PRATHAM's objective is to estimate Total Electron Count, PISAT's mission is to design and develop a nano satellite for remote sensing applications. 

The foreign satellites on-board the PSLV are ALSAT-1B, ALSAT-2B and ALSAT-1N (all from Algeria) and Pathfinder-1 and NLS-19, from USA and Canada, respectively.

The total weight of all the eight satellites on-board PSLV. C35 is about 675 kg, ISRO said. SCATSAT-1 weighs 371 kg. 

While SCATSAT-1 will be released first into a 730 km Polar Sun synchronous Orbit (SSO) after about 17 minutes, the rest will be injected into a lower orbit of 689 km after around two hours.

2. Olympian Sajan wins gold in 200m Butterfly

Olympian Sajan Prakash of Railways set a national record in men’s 200m butterfly en route to winning the gold in the event at the 70th Senior National Aquatic Championships.

3. IOA President Ramachandran honoured with OCA Merit Award

Indian Olympic Association President N Ramachandran was conferred with the prestigious OCA Award of Merit by the Olympic Council of Asia for his outstanding contributions to sports in Asia. 

The award was presented to him by OCA President Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah at the OCA General Assembly being held here. Also, present on the occasion was the International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach. 

Incidentally, it was only a month ago that Ramachandran received the IOCs Olympic Order for his contributions to the Olympic movement from Bach himself at the Rio Olympics. 

The latest recognition makes Ramachandran the only IOA President to have received the two prestigious awards and that too in close succession. 

4. China commissions world’s largest radio telescope

China commissioned the world’s largest radio telescope, a 4,450-panel reflector as large as 30 football pitches, which can help in better understanding the origin of the universe and boost global hunt for extra-terrestrial life. 

Hundreds of astronomers and astronomy enthusiasts witnessed the official launch of the 500 meter Aperture Spherical Telescope’s (FAST) mission in a karst valley in Pingtang County in Guizhou Province. 

Work on the nearly 1.2 billion-yuan (USD 180 million) project started in 2011, 17 years after it was proposed by Chinese astronomers. 

The installation of the telescope’s main structure — a 4,450-panel reflector as large as 30 football pitches was built at unique valley in southwest China where over 8,000 people have been evacuated as it requires quiet atmosphere. 

FAST will require radio silence within a 5-kms radius. 

Over 600 apartments have been built in two new settlements, about 10 kilometres to accommodate the displaced people. 

The telescope, which is aimed at observing deep space was stated to be most visible project of China’s plans to transform into high-tech nation focussing on research in advanced science and technology moving away from cheap manufacturing.

5. R Ashwin becomes fastest Indian & second overall to take 200 Test wickets

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin became the fastest Indian and second overall to take 200 wickets, reaching the milestone in his 37th Test.

Ashwin trapped New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson in front to get to the 200-mark on day four of the first Test at the Green Park in Kanpur.

With this feat, Ashwin left behind the likes of Dennis Lillee and Waqar Younis, who took 38 Tests to get to 200 wickets. South African pacer Dale Steyn took 39 Tests to reach the landmark.

Only leg-spinner Clarrie Grimmett got to the double century of wickets faster than Ashwin as the Australian reached there in 36 Tests.

Besides, Ashwin is also the ninth Indian bowler to record 200 in Tests and also the ninth highest wicket-taker for the country in a list lead by current coach Anil Kumble who holds the record of 619 wickets.

6. Iran launches home-grown ballistic missile

Iran's Defence Ministry launched the production line of home-grown ballistic missile of "Zolfaqar’ 

The tactical missile, which is capable of evading jamming signals in electronic warfare, will come into service by March 2017.

"Zolfaqar" runs on solid fuel and can hit the targets with a pin-point accuracy in a range of 750 km.

7. India win historic 500th Test comprehensively against New Zealand

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin finished with 10 wickets in India’s historic 500 Test match as the hosts took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series against New Zealand on Monday. At the Green Park Stadium, India beat the visitors by 197 runs in the first Test 15 overs into the afternoon session on the final day.

Ashwin, who became the second fastest bowler to reach 200 wickets in Tests, claimed the last three wickets in the NZ second innings, including that of Mitchell Santner (71) with an unplayable delivery that turned and kicked up at the left-hander from way outside the leg stump.

Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja picked up six wickets in the match and also chipped in with unbeaten knocks of 42 and 50 lower down the order to take the man of the match prize.

Luke Ronchi, who shared a fifth-wicket partnership of 102 runs with Santner, emerged the highest scorer for the Kiwis with a well-made 80.

After the visitors resumed from their overnight 93 for 4, Ravindra Jadeja removed Ronchi to give the hosts the breakthrough after the spinners failed to get the same amount of purchase from the wicket as in the previous two mornings.

Later, Mohammad Shami picked up a couple of wickets with reverse swing just before lunch to set India on its way. India had declared their second innings at 377 for 5 on Sunday, setting NZ a target of 434. The hosts had also gained a first innings lead of 56, after bowling out the visitors for 252 in reply to their 318.

8. Teenager Alexander Zverev stuns U.S. Open champion Stan Wawrinka for first title

Promising German 19-year-old Alexander Zverev won his first tour title, beating U.S. Open champion Stan Wawrinka in a tight battle in the St. Petersburg Open final.

Zverev took the first set before Wawrinka responded to draw level. The German was a break down in the decider, but fought back to win 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.

Zverev becomes the first man to beat Wawrinka in a tour final since 2013, snapping an 11-match win streak in finals for the Swiss star, who had been trying to win back-to-back titles in his first tournament since the U.S. Open. The loss also ends a 10-match unbeaten run for Wawrinka.


Earlier, Britain's Dominic Inglot and Finland's Henri Kontinen won the doubles title.

1. Boeing to supply Harpoon missiles to India from US

The Unites States Department of Defence has given a USD 81 million contract to Boeing for the supply of all-weather, over-the-horizon, Harpoon anti-ship missiles to India. 

According to the contract details, Boeing has been awarded USD 81,271,024 for firm-fixed-price modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to exercise an option for the procurement of 22 Lot 89 Harpoon missiles, associated containers and components for the Government of India under the Foreign Military Sales program. 

The missiles will be manufactured at several places in the United States, with the majority of them being in St Charles, Missouri. Some manufacturing process would also be done in the United Kingdom. 

The missiles are expected to be ready in June 2018.

2. India, Russia launch joint anti-terror exercise in Vladivostok

India and Russia kicked off a joint military exercise in Vladivostok that will see troops training for counter-terrorism operations in semi-mountainous and jungle terrain. 

This is the eighth edition of Exercise Indra, which has been held by the two sides since 2003. Each side has fielded 250 soldiers for the 11-day war game, which is aimed at achieving interoperability in joint operations. 

Besides soldiers from Russia’s 59th Motorised Infantry Brigade, a unit of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defence Troops will participate in the drill. 

The exercise in Vladivostok began as a contingent of Russian troops arrived in Pakistan for the first joint drill by the two countries. 

3. India third in ICC ODI rankings, Virat Kohli second in batting charts

Away from the 50-over format for a while, India were placed third while mainstay Virat Kohli held the second position in the batting chart in the latest ICC ODI rankings released.

India were positioned third with 110 points behind Australia (124) and New Zealand (113).

4. IAF successfully fired long range air-to-air MICA missile from Mirage-2000 combat aircraft

Indian Air Force successfully fired the recently acquired long range air-to-air MICA missile on a manoeuvring target from Mirage-2000 Upgrade combat aircraft.

A Defence Ministry release said in New Delhi that the missile achieved a direct hit on a target which was much smaller than an actual aircraft and flying at a low altitude.

The release said, with the success of this mission by 'Tigers', the first squadron of the force, IAF has become one of the few air forces in the world with the capability of such beyond visual range air-to-air missile.

Mirage-2000 

The Mirage 2000 is a single-engine fourth-generation jet fighter manufactured by France's Dassault Aviation. It was designed in the late 1970s as a lightweight fighter based on the Mirage III for the French Air Force (Armée de l'Air).

The upgraded Mirage 2000 fighter jets are fitted with the Thales RDY 2 radar, a helmet-mounted display, new avionics, and the ability to fire new weapons including the MICA missile.

5. Sudhir Pratap Singh named new NSG chief, OP Singh CISF DG

Senior IPS officers Sudhir Pratap Singh and O P Singh were appointed as Directors General of counter-terrorism force National Security Guard (NSG) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) respectively.

O P Singh, a 1983-batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, is at present working as Director General of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

Another senior IPS officer R K Pachnanda has been appointed in place of O P Singh.

Pachanada is currently working as Additional Director General (ADG) in CISF.

Sudhir Pratap Singh, a 1983 batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, is ADG, Central Reserve Police Force.

The CISF is entrusted with responsibility of providing security to national installations including airports.

6. Apple acquires Hyderabad-based Tuplejump

US tech giant Apple has acquired Hyderabad-based Tuplejump, a machine learning startup that helps companies store, process and visualise big data with its software. 

Post the deal, two of Tuplejumps co-founders -- Rohit Rai and Satyaprakash Buddhavarapu -- have joined Apple, industry sources said. 

Artificial intelligence has become a key area of focus and investment for tech giants like Apple, Google and Facebook that are competing head-on as they develop products like virtual assistants and bots. 

The Cupertino-based company is betting big on the Indian market. In July, Apple CEO Tim Cook had said that India is one of its fastest growing markets.

1. बोइंग अमेरिका से भारत को करेगी हारपून मिसाइलों की आपूर्ति

अमेरिकी रक्षा विभाग ने भारत को पोत भेदी हारपून मिसाइलों की आपूर्ति करने के लिए बोइंग को आठ करोड़ 10 लाख डॉलर से अधिक की राशि का करार दिया है ।

करार के ब्योरे के अनुसार विदेश सैन्य बिक्री कार्यक्रम के तहत भारत सरकार के लिए बोइंग को 89 हारपून मिसाइलों, संबंधित कंटेनरों और उपकरणों की 22 खेप के लिए 8,12,71,024 डॉलर का करार दिया गया है ।

मिसाइलें अमेरिका में कई स्थानों पर बनाई जाएंगी । इनमें से अधिकतर का विनिर्माण सेंट चार्ल्स, मिसूरी में होगा । विनिर्माण की कुछ प्रक्रिया ब्रिटेन में भी की जाएगी ।

मिसाइलों के जून 2018 में तैयार हो जाने की उम्मीद है ।

2. भारतीय, रूसी सेना ने रूस में संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास शुरू किया

रूस के व्लादिवोस्तोक में आज भारत और रूस ने अपना आठवां संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास शुरू किया जिसका लक्ष्य आतंकवाद-विरोधी अभियानों पर है।

उसीरियस्क जिले में हो रहे आठवें सैन्य अभ्यास ‘इन्द्र-2016’ का मुख्य ध्यान संयुक्त राष्ट्र के जनादेश के तहत ‘‘अर्ध-पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों तथा जंगल वाले क्षेत्रों में आतंकवाद-विरोधी अभियान’’ पर रहेगा।

ब्रिगेडियर सुकृत चादाह कुमाउं रेजिमेंट के 250 सैनिकों की भारतीय सैन्य टुकड़ी का नेतृत्व कर रहे हैं जबकि रूसी सेना का प्रतिनिधित्व 59वीं मोटोराइज्ड इंफेंटरी ब्रिगेड के 250 सैनिक कर रहे हैं।

भारत और रूस के बीच 2003 से शुरू महत्वपूर्ण द्विपक्षीय रक्षा सहयोग में ‘इन्द्र’ संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास भी शामिल है। भारतीय सैन्य टुकड़ी अभ्यास के बाद अक्तूबर में वापस लौटने वाली है।

3. भारत आईसीसी वनडे तालिका में तीसरे जबकि कोहली बल्लेबाजों में दूसरे नंबर पर

भारतीय टीम पिछले कुछ समय से 50 ओवर के प्रारूप में नहीं खेलने के बावजूद जारी आईसीसी वनडे रैंकिंग में तीसरे स्थान पर काबिज है जबकि बल्लेबाजी सूची में विराट कोहली दूसरे स्थान पर हैं।

भारतीय टीम आस्ट्रेलिया (124) और न्यूजीलैंड (113) के बाद 110 अंक लेकर तीसरे स्थान पर है।

4. आसमान से आसमान में मारने वाली लंबी दूरी की मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण

भारतीय वायु सेना ने हाल में प्राप्त की गई लंबी दूरी की हवा से हवा में मार करने वाली एमआईसीए मिसाइल को मिराज 2000 अपग्रेड लड़ाकू विमान से लक्ष्य पर सफलतापूर्वक दागा।

रक्षा मंत्रालय की एक विज्ञप्ति में कहा है कि ‘टाइगर्स’ द्वारा इस मिशन की सफलता के साथ ही बल की पहली स्क्वाड्रन, आईएएफ दुनिया की उन चंद वायुसेना में शामिल हो गई है जिनके पास आसमान से आसमान में मार करने वाली मिसाइल है।

5. सुधीर प्रताप सिंह को एनएसजी और ओपी सिंह सीआईएसएफ का महानिदेशक नियुक्त किया

वरिष्ठ आईपीएस अधिकारी सुधीर प्रताप सिंह को आतंकवाद निरोधक बल राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा गार्ड (एनएसजी) जबकि ओपी सिंह को केंद्रीय औद्योगिक सुरक्षा बल (सीआईएसएफ) का महानिदेशक नियुक्त किया गया।

उत्तर प्रदेश काडर के 1983 बैच के आईपीएस अधिकारी ओपी सिंह फिलहाल एनडीआरएफ के महानिदेशक के तौर पर काम कर रहे हैं।

अन्य वरिष्ठ आईपीएस अधिकारी आरके पचनंदा को ओपी सिंह की जगह नियुक्त किया गया है।

पचनंदा फिलहाल, सीआईएसएफ में अतिरिक्त महानिदेशक के तौर पर काम कर रहे है।

सुधीर प्रताप सिंह राजस्थान काडर के 1983 बैच के आईपीएस अधिकारी हैं वह केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल में एडीजी है।

6. एपल ने हैदराबाद की टपलजंप का अधिग्रहण किया

अमेरिकी प्रौद्योगिकी क्षेत्र की दिग्गज एपल ने हैदराबाद की टपलजंप का अधिग्रहण किया है। यह मशीन लर्निंग स्टार्टअप है जो कंपनियों के बिग डेटा को अपने सॉफ्टवेयर के साथ स्टोर, प्रोसेस करने में मदद करती है। उद्योग सूत्रों ने बताया कि इस सौदे के बाद टपलजंप के दो सह संस्थापक रोहित राय और सत्यप्रकाश बुद्धावरापू एपल से जुड़ गए हैं।

इस बारे में संपर्क करने पर एपल ने ई-मेल से भेजे जवाब में कहा कि एपल समय-समय पर छोटी प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनियों का अधिग्रहण करती रहती है। हम सामान्य तौर पर अपने उद्देश्य या योजनाओं पर बात नहीं करते।

अमेरिकी कंपनी भारतीय बाजार पर बड़ा दांव लगा रही है। जुलाई में एपल के सीईओ टिम कुक ने कहा था कि भारत सबसे तेजी से बढ़ते बाजारों में से है।
